To get your badge of honor (the Mongrela Smart Tag) and set up your pet's profile, we collect:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you sign up on our website.
  • Shipping Details: Your physical address (strictly to send you your free tag).
  • Pet Profile Data: Information you choose to provide about your dog, including their name, photos, temperament, and any essential medical or contact info you want a "finder" to see.

2. How Your Data is Used

  • The "Found" Functionality: The core purpose of the Mongrela tag is to help your dog get home. When someone scans the QR code/barcode on the back of the tag, they will be granted access to the Pet Profile you created.
  • Service Delivery: We use your info to ship products, manage your account, and send community updates.
  • Platform Improvement: We use anonymized data to understand how our community grows and how we can better serve mixed-breed advocates globally.

3. Data Sharing & Visibility

  • Public vs. Private: Your personal account details (like your password and billing address) are never public. Only the information you explicitly add to your dog's Public Profile will be visible to someone who scans the tag.
  • Third-Party Services: We only share your data with trusted partners necessary to run our service (e.g., shipping carriers to deliver your tag). We do not sell your data to third-party advertisers.

4. Your Control (The "Master of the House")

You have full control over your data:

  • Edit/Delete: You can update or delete your pet's profile information at any time through your dashboard.
  • Account Closure: If you choose to leave the pack, you can request to delete your account and all associated data.
